BLACK SEA EXPORTERS INTRODUCE TURKISH SALMON TO CHINESE…

CHINESE LOVE TURKISH SALMON!

Within the scope of the Fishery Products Development of International Competitiveness Project, the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), together with 9 project participant aquaculture exporters, participated in the “China Fisheries & Seafood Expo 2023”, one of the most important fairs of the aquaculture sector in the People’s Republic of China, on 25-27 October 2023 and promoted Turkish Salmon in the Far East markets.

Akerko, Dalyan, İnan Kardeşler, Karsom, Kuzuoğlu, Lafçıoğlu, Politek, Sezginler and Yomra Su Ürünleri companies participated in the aquaculture exhibition held in Qingdao city, which is the trade and financial centre of Shantung Province, known as the maritime base of the People’s Republic of China, under the organisation of DKİB and met with their customers at their stands and had the opportunity to promote their products.

In China Fisheries & Seafood Expo 2023, which is one of the important commercial activities in the global fisheries industry and held for the 26th time, 2042 exhibitors from 47 countries opened stands on an area of 45 thousand square metres.

İlker Yıldırım and Hasan Kuzuoğlu, Vice Presidents of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association Fishery Products Sector Committee, in their evaluations regarding the event they also participated in, said, “With the Development of International Competitiveness Project (UR-GE) carried out by DKİB, we have come a long way in the promotion of Turkish salmon in foreign markets. In this sense, within the scope of the plans we have made in this regard, we have started the promotion of Turkish Salmon in the People’s Republic of China with the China Fisheries & Seafood Expo 2023 fair, where we had the opportunity to open a stand with our companies participating in the Development of International Competitiveness Project under the umbrella of DKİB.”

We will focus more on the Chinese market, which we opened the door with this event.
