Alfa (Tohum) Seed, which carries out breeding activities, especially in grainss, has produced a drought-resistant wheat variety. This wheat, which was developed and shows high yield capability in arid conditions, was named ‘Trend’.
Alfa Seed R&D Breeding Department Manager Resul Engin announced that the white grain bread wheat variety developed by their company and named ‘Trend’ came first among all domestic and foreign varieties in the studies carried out by our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
“We hope that our wheat variety crowned with the first place by our Ministry will be beneficial to our country. Our work will continue in order to introduce new varieties to the country’s agriculture,” he said.
Pointing out that Alfa Seed, which has adopted the principle of producing innovative solutions, he added, “We have adopted the principle of ‘Strong R&D, Strong Future’ by investing what it earns from agriculture in agriculture and has gained a strong R&D structure by continuously increasing its R&D investments since its establishment.”
