Isparta, Turkey’s rose garden, as well as announcing its name with lavender production, has begun to produce 1. 250 tons of flowers per year from lavender production in the villages of Kuyucak, Kuşçular, Aydoğmuş, Çukurören and Ardıçlı in Keçiborlu district.

Beekeepers, bringing their hives close to the lavender gardens from different regions, benefit the lavender’s 40-day flowering through the essence of flowers. The honey producers, which extract their lavender honey from the hives during the harvest period of the lavender fields, send them to boutique shopping centers in metropolitan cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Lavender honey, sold at 250 lira last year, is offered for sale at 300 liras this year due to the intense demand.
