BEE’O Propolis General Manager Dr. Aslı Elif Tanuğur Samancı said that Türkiye acts as a bridge between Asia and Europe continents due to its geopolitical location and ranks third in the world in terms of beekeeping activities.
“Therefore, the value of Anatolian propolis and Anatolian bee products should be known all over the world,” Dr. Samancı said.
Dr. Samancı pointed out that the contract beekeeping model contributes to increasing the number of hives in Türkiye, thus contributing to pollination and sustainable food production,
“Today, 90 out of 100 foods we consume can be produced thanks to the contribution of bees to pollination. Considering the critical role of bees in pollination, it is possible to say that many products from cotton to onions, apples to apricots can reach our table thanks to bees,” Dr. Samancı explained.
“Being aware of the importance of boosting the number of bees for the world, we have developed a business model that protects both bees and beekeepers and at the same time enables the production of high quality products, and we have succeeded in implementing it for the first time in the country,” Dr. Samancı added…
