Producing royal jelly in Bursa, beekeepers Mehmet Durgut and Metin Kaya made their first harvest this year. It is known that royal jelly, which is expressed in grams from hives, strengthens the immune system. Due to the coronavirus, there is great demand for royal jelly this year. Beekeepers who consume their stocks, although the price is expensive, also received the order of royal jelly to be produced in a few months.
Royal jelly is a very rich substance, it contains protein, carbohydrates, fats as well as vitamins B3, B6, B1, B2, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin, mineral substances, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, phenolic substances, amino acids, fatty acids, organic acids.
Stating that they started the production of the first royal jelly of this year, Metin Kaya said, “We are at work at 7 in the morning. We prepare the hives. We take the bees full of royal jelly from the hives. Then we take them out of the eyes one by one and harvest them. This year the harvest started to be fertile.”
Emphasizing that royal jelly strengthens the immune system, Mehmet Durgut added, “We started the harvest this year. We have 200 hives. We work with our team of 8 people. We have 200 hives. We get royal jelly from 80 hives daily. Our goal is to increase this to 100 hives. This year we aim to produce 80 kilos.”
“We constantly express this fact. Royal jelly strengthens the immune system. It has a cell regeneration feature. It is a very useful food especially in the brain development of children and the development of weak children. Worker bees do this to feed the queen. The bee lives for 7 years.
