Nurittin Karan, Head of the Giresun Chamber of Agriculture, made important statements claiming that FISKOBİRLİK (Union of Hazelnut Agriculture Sales Cooperative) was mismanaged and decisions were taken to close the co-operatives.
According to Karan, the organisation is on the verge of a serious crisis and its future faces uncertainty.
Highlighing that FİSKOBİRLİK is at a critical point in terms of management and is now completely discredited, Karan said, “This Union, which manages 50 co-operatives located all over Türkiye, has decided to close more than 10 co-operatives. This situation is an indication that FİSKOBİRLİK is gradually entering the liquidation process. The doors are closing one by one and the Union is approaching its end.
CO-OPERATIVES CLOSED DOWN FOR DELEGATE CONCERNS…
Karan made serious criticisms against Lütfi Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FİSKOBİRLİK. Emphasizing that the co-operatives were closed on the grounds that they did not operate, Karan questioned this justification and asked, “How can the co-operatives operate if the necessary personnel are not appointed for the purchase of hazelnuts?”
86 YEARS OF HISTORY IN DANGER…
Speaking about the history of FİSKOBİRLİK, Karan warned that this deep-rooted Institution, which was established in 1938 and left 86 years behind, was abandoned to its fate today with the initiative of one person and added, “The point where the Institution, which has such a great history, has reached should be brought to the attention of the public.”
