Planting was done at the end of April for the July harvest in Izmir’s Torbalı district, where crops can be obtained twice a year. In order to grow this water-loving product, a drip system is used throughout the region.

With the effect of mechanization in agriculture, silage maize is now harvested by large machines. Maize, which is over 3 metres in length, is harvested by the harvester machines and goes to animal farms by lorries.
