Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB) took important steps for information exchange and cooperation during its visit to Japan in order to boost the competitive advantage of Turkish tea in the global market. With the visit, critical results were reached in terms of learning the leading practices of the Japanese tea industry and integrating this information into Turkish tea production processes.
The delegation, consisting of Black Sea province of Rize’s leading tea producers, interacted intensively to get to know the Japanese tea culture more closely and to understand the habits of Japanese consumers at important points such as Kaldı Coffee Farm, Lupıcıa and Isetan Shinjuku Store. During the Tokyo Embassy visit on the trip, meetings were held to evaluate the cultural and trade relations between the two countries.
Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association, emphasised that the visit to Japan was successful and stated that the information obtained will be successfully integrated into the production processes of Turkish tea.
Gürdoğan also stated that this visit will make an important contribution to the goal of increasing the quality of Turkish tea and that they will endeavour to strengthen their future cooperation.
