2.2 billion dollars in cereal exports from the Southeastern Anatolia region in 7 months…
Exports from the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and processed products sector in the Southeastern Anatolia Region rose by 7.4 percent in the January–July period, reaching 2.2 billion dollars.

According to a statement issued by the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Associations (GAİB), the sector—which accounts for 30.8 percent of the region’s exports—had a 31.4 percent share of Türkiye’s total cereal exports.
Over a seven-month period, more than 2.5 million tonnes of products were exported from Southeastern Anatolia, of which approximately 736,000 tonnes were pasta, 467,000 tonnes were wheat flour and 280,000 tonnes were sunflower oil.
The export value of sunflower oil, the product generating the highest revenue, rose by 26.4 percent to 461.5 million dollars, whilst the value of pasta exports soared by 14.1 percent to 394.1 million dollars.
Exports to the sector’s largest market, the Middle East, exceeded 900 million dollars, whilst exports to Africa rose by 22.4 percent to reach 775.5 million dollars.
Celal Kadooğlu, a member of the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) Board of Directors and Chairman of the GAİB Cereals Union, stated in his assessment of the figures that they were closely monitoring all processes, from production to logistics, with the aim of safeguarding the sector’s international competitiveness and ensuring food supply security in neighbouring regions.
Highlighting the importance of ensuring the product supply chain remains uninterrupted and that exports remain sustainable, Kadooğlu also underlined that policies designed to reduce the freight cost disadvantage arising from the region’s distance from ports and to enhance the effectiveness of state support would contribute to competitiveness in target markets…
