BEE’O Propolis R&D Centre Has Been Registered By The Ministry…
Turkey’s first and only indigenous innovation award winning beeo propolis has been approved by the R & D center of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The company introduced the world Anatolia propolis, propolis, an expert on Turkey’s first R & D center was registered as. Thus, BEE’O Propolis has added a new one to the firsts it has achieved in the field with its R&D studies, innovative and patented products, expert staff in food, chemistry, biology, pharmacy and agriculture since its establishment in 2013.
BEE’O Propolis General Manager and Food Engineer (MSc) Aslı Elif Tanuğur Samancı said that they have nearly 30 employees from different fields of expertise in their R&D centre and they have successfully completed 6 R&D projects with this team so far.
Tanuğur said, “Currently we continue to cooperate with 20 different universities in R&D works. In our centre, 30 scientific publications, 3 books, 6 master’s and doctoral thesis studies have been published. A large number of congresses, symposiums and seminars have been held in the field of beekeeping and bee products.We have been deemed worthy of 34 achievement awards with the works we have done. We are changing the future of beekeeping and bee products in our country and also trying to represent Turkey on the international arena in the best possible way.”
Stating that their company, which produces propolis locally with the ‘Contracted Beekeeping Model’ for the first time, develops patented extraction technology and transforms it into 100 percent natural products with added value, Tanuğur noted, “We continue to offer new products to our consumers with our R&D capability. We are taking firm steps forward in the journey of branding. This year, our R&D centre was also approved by our Ministry of Technology and Industry. With this important support, we will continue our work with greater determination and even faster.”
200 percent growth despite the pandemic…
Tanuğur continued his words as follows; “We closed the last year with a turnover of 40 million TL. Despite the epidemic agenda, in the first 6 months of 2020, we have grown by 200 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, approaching our 2020 targets. In the first eight months of 2020, our market share in retail, online and pharmacy sales channels, where we take part with our BEE’O and BEE’O UP brands, has also increased and we are the market leader in all channels with both brands.”
