Food Exporters of Türkiye – We created the brand of TFE (TGİ)…
Muhammet Öztürk, Head of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, said that they have created the brand of Turkish Food Exporters -TFE (TGİ).
Emphasising that the 2023/2024 period was a year in which they implemented joint activities and projects with the six 6 Associations within the Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Sector Board, Muhammet Öztürk said, “As the Aegean, Istanbul, Southeastern Anatolia, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia and Black Sea Associations, we decided to join forces and promote our sector more effectively on the basis of joint activities. In this direction, we established the Turkish Food Exporters -TFI brand as our roof platform where we will carry out our joint activities. We carried out the institutionalisation activities of the brand. As a matter of fact, the social media accounts and website of our TFE brand became operational and the first of our quarterly bulletin was published for the October-December period.”
Pointing out that they took part in the organisation of the Worldfood Istanbul Food Fair held in Istanbul on 6-9 September 2023 with their Sector Board Associations, he added, “The fair area increased by 46 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year and reached over 38 thousand m2. A total of 64,146 visitors from 161 countries and 1,117 exhibitors from 38 countries took part in the fair for 4 days.”
Highlighting that their aim is to grow the Worldfood Istanbul fair every year and spike the number and variety of visitors, he concluded, ” In this way, we aim to make it easier for our exporters to reach customers by bringing buyers to our country and to strengthen the position of Türkiye and our sector in the field of food.”
