Organised by the Grain Suppliers Association (HUBUDER) with the support of TMO, the International Grain Conference Towards the 2024 Harvest in Türkiye and the World was held at Ankara Sheraton Hotel.

In his speech at the opening of the conference, TMO General Manager Güldal said that situations such as epidemics, economic crises and wars affect countries commercially and economically.

Pointing out that each harvest year should be evaluated uniquely, Güldal noted, “Everyone probably realises that wheat cultivation areas have started to increase in our country. Positive pricing in recent years has triggered this.”

“Last year, TMO realised the highest purchase in its history”

Güldal also reported that the production levels of last year will be approached worldwide this year.

Underlining that they expect the yield to be abundant in Türkiye this year, Güldal added, “As TMO, we are ready for all kinds of projections. Last year, TMO realised the highest purchase in its history. We have carefully followed these stocks, which we describe as national wealth. Economically, we know that it is important for the insurance of the next few years.”
