Dikili Agriculture Based Specialised Organised Industrial Zone (Dikili TDİOSB) which is one of the largest geothermally heated agriculture-based organised industrial zones in Europe and Türkiye, established in cooperation with the Governorship of Izmir, Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, Izmir Commodity Exchange, Aegean Exporters’ Associations, Dikili Municipality and Bergama Chamber of Commerce, has received 30 million dollars in financing from the World Bank with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The organised industrial zone, which was entitled to receive this financing by meeting the World Bank’s criteria such as ‘sustainability’ and ‘women’s employment’, is planned to be put into service at the end of 2025.

Dikili Agriculture Based Specialised Organised Industrial Zone (Dikili TDİOSB) Project Sub-Project and Sub-Financing Agreement Signing Ceremony was held in Ankara with the participation of Dr. Osman Yıldız, General Director of Agricultural Reform of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye, Ali Edip Budan, District Governor of Dikili, Deniz Oruç, Head of Organised Agriculture and Livestock Department of the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Mehmet Şahin Çakan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dikili TDİOSB and Member of the Board of Directors of Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Hayrettin Uçak and Ercan Korkmaz, Members of the Board of Directors of Dikili TDİOSB.

Dikili Agriculture Based Specialised (Geothermal Resource) Greenhouse Organised Industrial Zone was established in 2019. It became a legal entity as Türkiye’s 21st Agriculture Based Specialised Organised Industrial Zone. Established on a total area of 3 million 38 thousand square metres, the greenhouse zone is one of the largest geothermally heated agriculture-based organised industrial zones in Europe and Türkiye.
In the organised industrial zone, which has an approximate investment cost of 10 billion Turkish Liras and is planned to contribute 1.6 billion liras annually to the national economy when fully operational, there are 50 high-tech greenhouses with geothermal energy heating, each of which is a minimum of 25 decares, 47 industrial facilities where the products produced will be processed, packaged and stored, a Greenhouse Training Centre and an R&D centre. Dikili TDİOSB, which will meet its own consumption with the use of geothermal energy in agricultural production and renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and biogas, aims to be an exemplary ‘green’ OIZ in the world…
