Press release…
Veysel Memiş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mediterranean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters Association (AHBİB), announced that they have continued their steady growth in the sector with an export performance of nearly 899 million dollars in the first six months of 2025.

“The picture we have presented in the first half of the year, despite the volatile global markets and the wars and crises in our region, is the result of the dedicated work of the entire chain, from producers to exporters,” he said.
‘Our goal is to close this year above last year’s exports.’
Pointing out that with the start of the season in the sector, they have entered the second half of the year with a stronger plan and a market-focused growth target, he noted, “We aim to close the year above the previous year by maintaining the momentum we achieved in the January-June period. We believe we will achieve this goal with value-added production, strong logistics networks and qualified human resources.”
Emphasizing that sustainable agriculture, traceable production chains and digital marketing elements are decisive in the sector’s future strategy, he added, “As AHBİB, we are leading the way in establishing environmentally conscious, technology-integrated production structures. The way to compete in many markets, especially the European Union, is through this transformation.”
