The third leg of the ‘Third Generation Agricultural Entrepreneurship Training Project’ will be implemented in 2025…

Emphasising that they attach great value to young people for the future of sustainable agriculture and exports, Hayrettin Uçak, Chair of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, stated that they organised 6-week training programmes for young people with the “Third Generation Agricultural Entrepreneurship Training Project” in 2 different periods in order to bring young people studying agricultural engineering and food engineering to the agricultural sector.
Sharing that in the ‘Third Generation Agricultural Entrepreneurship Training Project’, theoretical and practical trainings given by expert staff in all processes from production to trade, as well as garden and factory visits were organised, Uçak noted that they will carry out the third leg of the project in 2025.
‘44 companies joined forces in the Development of International Competitiveness Project’
Reminding that as the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, they have carried out 3 successful Development of International Competitiveness Projects with the support of the Ministry of Trade and that the “Fresh Grape, Cherry and Pomegranate Development of International Competitiveness Project” received the “Best Development of International Competitiveness Project Award” from the Ministry of Trade, President Uçak emphasised that they will continue a new Development of International Competitiveness Project with the participation of 44 companies with the aim of opening up to new markets in 2025, and that their planning continues to carry out a trade delegation in the first half of 2025.

‘New export agreements were made thanks to Turkish Tastes’
Pointing out that they organised successful events in the USA within the scope of the TURQUALITY Project named Turkish Tastes, which aims to increase our exports of food products to the USA with the partnership of 6 food associations under the roof of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, Uçak said, “This initiative, which started with promotional activities, has now started to bear fruit and Turkish food companies have started to sign export agreements.”
“We aim to play a leading role in the promotion of Izmir and the fruit and vegetable sector by participating more strongly in the Interfresh Fair, which was held for the first time in Izmir in 2024 and is of great importance for the fruit and vegetable sector, in 2025,” he added…
