“THE FUTURE OF OUR MILK IS IN CONSCIOUS HANDS”

Pınar Institute’s “The Future of Our Milk is in Conscious Hands” project was presented at the “United Nations Week”

“The Future of Our Milk is in Conscious Hands” project, carried out by the Pınar Institute since 2014, continues to represent the Turkish dairy industry in international arena while taking place among “Sample inclusive business models”.

The project participated in the annual forum organized by the United Nations (UN) Business Call to Action (BCtA) Platform as part of the “United Nations General Assembly Week” events. It was explained in the “The Impact Management Journey” session, where the companies included in the Impact Champions programme were speakers. The project was also crowned with the “Bearers of Agriculture to the Future” award at the Future of the Agriculture and Forestry Summit, held in Izmir.

Pınar Institute participated in the United Nations Annual Forum Programme, held every year in New York, which receives speakers and participants from all over the world as the sole representative from Turkey, with “The Future of milk conscious of our hands” project.

Pınar Institute Director Ümit Savcıgil said, “Thanks to the rural development model we started in 1973, we have been working with all our strength to provide healthy and high quality products to our people of all age groups with more than 20,000 milk producers, 3,000 employees and dealers, especially in the Aegean Region.”

“As Pınar Milk (Süt), we have attached great importance to increasing the knowledge and competencies of our producers since the day we were founded. We will continue to support our dairy producers through trainings in order to continuously produce our products at higher quality standards,” Savcıgil added.

“It made us very proud that the project we realized was shown as an exemplary model at the United Nations level and has been crowned with the ‘Bearers of Agriculture to the Future’ award at the Future of the Agriculture and Forestry Summit,” Savcıgil concluded…
