KİLİS 7 DECEMBER UNIVERSITY TO PRODUCE ‘BOUTIQUE OLIVE OIL’…

Kilis 7 Aralık (December) University signed a project protocol titled “Creating a Capacity Enhancing Model in Organic Olive Oil Production” for the production of “Boutique olive oil”.

The project, which is also supported by the Governorship of Kilis, was signed by Rector of 7 Aralık University Professor Dr. Mustafa Doğan Karacoşkun and Kilis Organic Olive Producers’ Association President Mustafa Polat.

The project will be carried out by GAP (Southeastern Anatolian Project) Regional Development Administration under the Ministry of Industry and Technology, .

According to the project, 7 Aralık University Agricultural Application and Research Centre aims to train producers, encourage organic olive cultivation and increase the yield in Kilis olive oil.

In addition, it is planned to produce olive oil with high polyphenols from the olives to be produced in the sample application gardens to be established in Kilis province.
