Isparta’s carnations are making a splash in the European market…
Carnations produced in Isparta province are exported abroad, contributing economically to both the region and its producers.

Isparta…
Carnation production has increased in Isparta in recent years, where 65 percent of the world’s rose oil production is produced.
The harvest of carnations, produced in greenhouses in various parts of the city, has begun. The cut flowers are stored in cold storage.
The carnations are then carefully selected by workers and packaged in bunches for export to Europe.
Carnation exports not only contribute to the regional economy but also play a significant role in promoting the city to the world.
Isparta Chamber of Agriculture President Mustahattin Can Selçuk told an Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter that carnation production in the city is carried out in greenhouses in Deregümü village and the Çünür neighborhood.
Stating that they expect a high yield this year, Selçuk said, “We plant carnations in two different seasons a year. Our greenhouses are prepared in November and planted in December, and we begin harvesting the carnations we planted this month on May 15th. This is how the first harvest season goes.”
