Pomegranate harvest in Denizli region…

A pomegranate harvest ceremony was held in the Pamukkale district of Denizli province, Türkiye’s fifth-largest pomegranate producer. The event, attended by Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun and agricultural officials, highlighted the export potential of the Hejaz pomegranate and its importance to agricultural production.

The pomegranate harvest has begun in Denizli, which ranks fifth in the country’s pomegranate production. Pomegranates have begun being harvested from the orchards in Pamukkale, a district with a favourable climate that has made it a pomegranate production center.

The pomegranate harvest, held in the Irlıganlı neighborhood of Pamukkale, was attended by Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun, Pamukkale District Governor Uğur Bulut, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa Nevzat Zayim, branch and district managers, technical personnel, village headmen (mukhtars) and farmers.

Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun, speaking at the pomegranate harvest ceremony, emphasized the importance of production, saying, “We truly appreciate the efforts of our producers. Recent years have shown us the importance of production. Providing all kinds of support to our producers is crucial. Our region has significant potential for agricultural production. Hopefully, with the cooperation of our agricultural organization and the production planning and new support model implemented by our Ministry, we will achieve more effective and efficient production. I hope that the pomegranate harvest that began today will be beneficial and fruitful for all our farmers.”
