Arslan stated that the ban on anchovy hunting in our country is not enough.

“Our season started with bonito fishing. Bonito fishing took place in September and October. There was hunting from the west to the east of the Black Sea, but considering the situation of the bonito fish in the sea, we thought that hunting would continue until the end of December,” Arslan explained.
“We especially waited for the return of the fish shoals moving from west to east, but unfortunately they did not come back. Of course, big boats started anchovy hunting when the bonito disappeared. Although it was November, anchovies did not come,” Arslan added.
“Of course, anchovy came out late this year because the average air temperature is above seasonal normal. Especially the anchovies released this year are of poor quality.
