Ferhat Gürüz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, announced that in July 2025, 113,504 tonnes of products were exported across Türkiye, generating 121.5 million dollars in revenue.

Peach and apple leaders, surge in watermelon…
Ferhat Gürüz also noted that the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, which provides coordination and secretarial services as the leader in Türkiye’s fresh fruit and vegetable sector, captured a 33 percent share of the sector’s exports in July, worth 39.9 million dollars
Highlighting that peaches, apples, peppers, apricots and watermelons were the biggest exports across the country during this period, Gürüz explained, “Our peach exports, worth 23.9 million dollars, accounted for 20 percent of total exports. Apple exports, worth 20.3 million dollars, accounted for 17 percent, pepper exports, worth 9.6 million dollars, accounted for 8 percent and apricot exports, worth 9.2 million dollars, accounted for 8 percent.”
Pointing out that citrus exports reached 758.6,000 dollars despite being out of season, he added, “Our watermelon exports reached 7.6 million dollars, representing a 6 percent share. This surge in watermelon exports demonstrates the effective use of seasonal advantages and product diversification. We will continue to achieve new gains in export markets by enriching the product range of the Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable sector with value-added products.”
