ASHİB STRENGTHENED ITS EXPORT BRIDGES ON TURKISH NATIONAL DAY IN UAE…

Mediterranean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association (ASHİB) made a visit to Dubai as part of the “Turkish National Day” events held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Representatives of 18 ASHİB member companies participating in the Sectoral Trade Delegation, which was held simultaneously with the international food fair Dubai Gulfood 2022, organised between 13-17 February within the scope of Dubai Expo 2020, arranged close to 200 meetings with the managers of 61 importing companies and established new trade bridges.

Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations (AKİB) Secretary General Mehmet Ali Erkan and representatives of ASHİB member food exporting companies attended the ASHİB Dubai Trade Delegation event, which was held under the chairmanship of ASHİB Deputy Chairperson Ali Can Yamanyılmaz.

‘Gulfood Fair is very important for the global food industry’

Alican Yamanyılmaz said that Dubai Gulfood Fair is of great importance for the global food industry and that opening a stand provides gains in terms of prestige.

Yamanyılmaz said, “Poultry meat, cheese and shellfish are the leading animal foods imported by the United Arab Emirates, which is an important crossroads for the countries in the Arabian Peninsula, East Africa, the west and the south of Asia in the Middle East market. Fresh chilled fish, eggs, canned fish, canned meat and fish fillets are other important items in this country’s animal food imports.”

As Turkiye, we are present in the United Arab Emirates market in fresh or chilled fish, cheese, eggs, canned and sausage products. We are proud to represent the Turkish food industry at Dubai Gulfood Fair. We aim to get a larger share of the animal food market in the United Arab Emirates,” Yamanyılmaz added…
