Hayrettin Uçak, Chair of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, announced that the superior seedless variety stands out among table grape varieties grown in Türkiye for its early ripening characteristics.
Uçak stated that exports of superior seedless grapes surged by 102 percent in 2024, from 4.4 million dollars to 8.9 million dollars and that their target for 2025 is to exceed 10 million dollars.

Uçak also explained that around 60,000 producers in the Manisa-Izmir-Denizli triangle in the Aegean Region cultivate grapes on 1.1 million decares of land, saying, “Anatolia is the homeland of many grape varieties. 55,000 farmers in the Aegean Region produce grapes. We bring in between 650 and 750 million dollars in foreign exchange to our country every year from fresh and dried grape exports. I wish our producers and exporters a fruitful season.”
Türkiye’s table grape exports amounted to 134 million dollars in 2024, with the most exported grape variety being the seedless sultana grape, worth 81 million dollars. Exports of Red Globe grapes soared by 45 percent from 11 million dollars to 16 million dollars, while exports of superior seedless grapes soared by 102 percent from 4.4 million dollars to 8.9 million dollars.
“The country to which we exported the most superior seedless grapes was the Russian Federation, with 6.2 million dollars, followed by Ukraine with 918,000 dollars and Saudi Arabia with 771,000 dollars,” he added…
