TURKEY ACCOUNTS FOR 1.5 PERCENT OF WORLD WASTE CRISIS…

Research showed that Turkey was situated on the 10th of waste crisis list…

PRNet, the media monitoring and reporting agency, reviewed the research report on the impact of countries’ waste crisis. According to PRNet’s Maplecroft data and media reflections, the countries that caused the waste crisis in the world have been identified. Thus, it affects 1.5 percent of the world’s waste crisis in Turkey and it was seen that ranks 10th. What percentage of the world population that creates the country’s population are examined, it was noted that Turkey’s accounts for 1 percent of the world population. Compared to the population of the country that causes the most of the waste crisis with the United States, while the effect of 12 percent was determined. The ratio of American population to world population was determined as 4 percent. China is the country with the highest waste crisis, while the effect was found to be 15 percent. The ratio of China to the world population was seen as 19 percent. India, which constitutes 18 percent of the world’s population, has a 12 percent impact on the waste crisis.

In the media research conducted by PRNet and Ajans Press, the number of news reflected in the written press about the subject was also revealed. As of the beginning of 2019, 41 thousand 512 news outlets related to wastes have been identified and it was seen that the zero waste projects started to be on the agenda of the media.
