US Chef Reimund Pitz: Turkish food products can be used to make dishes of all world cuisines

The “Turkish Tastes-TURQUALITY Project”, supported by the Ministry of Trade with the participation of 6 food exporter associations under the roof of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB), which aims to make Turkish food products more preferred in the USA, the world’s largest food importer with an annual food import of 160 billion dollars, is approaching the end of the 1st year of the 2nd term.

US chefs who support the Turkish Tastes brand continue to visit Türkiye. Chef Reimund Pitz visited production areas, businesses and restaurants in Izmir.

Kazım Gürel, who is responsible for the coordination of the project on behalf of EIB Food Union Presidents and Aegean Exporters’ Associations and Turkish Tastes Ambassador Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products Exporters’ Association Board Member Kazım Gürel and Chef Reimund Pitz organised a press conference and shared the latest developments about the project with the public.

In addition, Chef Reimund Pitz presented Kazım Gürel with the Türkiye Ambassador award insignia of the Chain des Rotisseur Honour Society. The US chef also held bilateral meetings with the officials of Turkish food companies.
