TURKISH FISH OIL AND FISH MEAL EXPORTS CONTINUE TO BOOST…

In the January-October period, 26 thousand 109 tons of fish oil and fish meal (flour) were exported and 45 million 360 thousand 603 dollars obtained in return.

According to the data of Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), during January-October term of this year, Turkey exported 26 thousand 109 tons of fish oil and fish meal and 45 million 360 thousand 603 dollars provided in return.

In the same period of last year, a gain of 28 million 866 thousand 620 dollars was obtained from the export of 18 thousand 200 tons of fish oil and meal from the country. Thus, fish oil and meal exports from Turkey compared to the same period of last year, rose by 43 percent in amount and also rose by 57 percent in value.

Fish oil and fish meal exports to Peru increased by 807 percent…

In the January-October period of the year, Peru, France and Norway were the countries with the most exports.

In 10 month of the year, 5,707 tons of fish oil and meal were exported to Peru while earning 11 million 112 thousand 65 dollars.

In the same period of last year, 1 million 224 thousand 923 dollars of income was obtained from the export of 614 tons of fish oil and meal to Peru. Thus, exports of fish oil and meal to Peru increased by 829 percent in quantity and 807 percent in value compared to the same period last year.

France followed Peru with a share of 8 million 39 thousand 154 dollars and Norway with a share of 7 million 42 thousand 649 dollars.

Turkey made exports of fish oil and meal for the first time to Taiwan, Indonesia, Germany, Russia, Serbia, Oman, the Netherlands and Kyrgyzstan this year.
