The Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseed and Products Exporters’ Association boosted its exports by 12 percent from 432 million dollars to 483 million dollars in the January-May period of 2025.

The Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, which was the association that boosted its exports the most among the seven agricultural associations under the umbrella of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations in the five-month period of 2025, reached an export level of 1 billion 30 million dollars in the last year and compensated for its losses in 2024.

The vegetable oil sector continues to lead by a wide margin among the sub-sectors of cereals, pulses and oilseed exports from the Aegean Region. Vegetable oil exports, which amounted to 213 million dollars in the January-May period of 2024, soared by 25 percent to 268 million dollars in the same period of 2025. The vegetable oil sector accounted for 55 percent of the total exports of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association.

The cat and dog food (pet food) sector, which has seen significant growth over the past 10 years, ranked second among sub-sectors with exports worth 57.5 million dollars in the first five months of 2025. Chocolate confectionery products ranked third with exports worth 44.5 million dollars.

In the January-May period of 2025, 28 million dollars worth of oilseeds were exported from the Aegean Region, while the foreign exchange earned from cereal products was recorded as 27 million dollars. Food preparations brought 17.8 million dollars and spices brought 14 million dollars to our country. Exports of milling products amounted to 8 million dollars.
