Officials from Salihli institutions visited Çamurhamamı, one of the high-altitude neighbourhoods where the geographically registered Salihli Cherry is grown, to evaluate the high-quality product sought after by exporters and gather information on site.

Registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in 2008 by the Salihli Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Salihli Cherry has been cultivated for many years in the high-altitude neighbourhoods of Allahdiyen, Bahçecik, Çamurhamamı and Gökköy. Known for its delicious taste and durable structure, the Salihli Cherry is a favourite among exporters, and in recent years, investors from Istanbul have also shown interest.
Salihli Chamber of Commerce and Industry President İbrahim Yüksel stated that the Salihli Cherry is one of the district’s important income-generating products, alongside main agricultural products such as grapes and olives and noted that cherries are exported from Salihli to many countries, primarily in Europe and the Far East.
