In Malatya, which meets 85 percent of the world’s dried apricot production, more than 68 thousand tonnes of dried apricots were exported in 11 months, generating an income of 370 million dollars. Stating that despite all the negativities caused by the earthquake in Malatya, they will reach an export of over 400 million dollars in dried apricots by the end of 2024, Ramazan Özcan said, “Our exports of dried apricots continue at full speed. In November, we exported 8 thousand 195 tonnes of dried apricots and earned over 40 million dollars in revenue.”

Highlighting that more than 68 thousand tonnes of dried apricots were exported in 11 months and an income of 370 million dollars was obtained, Özcan noted that they will reach the expected export figures at the end of the year and complete the season with an income of 400 million dollars.
