Pınar Labne, which was first introduced to consumers in 1984 by Pınar, Türkiye’s leading brand in the dairy sector, celebrates its 40th anniversary.
With its health, quality and innovation-oriented approach, Pınar Dairy (Süt) produced Pınar Labne, Türkiye’s first and therefore original labne, as an export product in 1984 and introduced it to to the country in 1985. Exported to a total of 29 countries in 2023, Pınar Labne today offers consumers Plain, Organic, Chocolate, Lactose-Free, Garlic & Chive and Dried Tomato varieties.

Pınar Dairy (Süt) Marketing Director Serpil Veral stated that Türkiye was introduced to Pınar Labne with the visionary perspective of the late Selçuk Yaşar and his belief in innovation and said that they are the leader with a 27 percent share of turnover in the labne market, which reached a size of 17 thousand tonnes in 2023 and that Pınar Labne is consumed in 20 out of every 100 houses.
Pınar Dairy Marketing Director Serpil Veral also noted that Pınar Labne can be consumed either at breakfast or in meals and desserts with its different varieties and that many chefs prefer Pınar Labne in their special recipes.
“As Pınar, in 1984, we developed a recipe for a dairy product sold as open delicatessen in some Middle Eastern countries with the long-lasting work of our R&D department and named it ‘Labne’ and offered it to consumers first in the Gulf countries and then in Türkiye,” she said.
“We created the concept of ‘Turkish Labne’ in the Middle East and Gulf countries. Produced with many years of experience, Pınar Labne has set the standards of labne in Türkiye with its flavour and consistency.
