“Turkish products are always in demand”
Mehmet Çıkmaz, Chair of the Southeastern Anatolia Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, told an Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter that global demand for products grown in Anatolia’s fertile lands is consistently high.
Çıkmaz stated that they are conducting promotional activities and meetings in various markets to ramp up their export figures.
“While there has been a partial decline in sales to the Netherlands, Australia and Canada, which are among our top 10 export destinations, we are closing this gap with sales to other countries. We have boosted sales by 44.5 percent to Poland, 41 percent to Italy, 24 percent to the US and 14 percent to the UK,” he said.
“We will continue our international fair and promotional efforts in the second half of 2025. Turkish products, with their aroma and flavour, are always in demand. We surpassed 1.8 billion dollars in 2024 and we hope to reach 2 billion dollars by the end of this year,” he added…
