“In order to increase the number of meat breeds in the total animal existence and to inseminate them with meat breeds, meat breed pregnant and non-pregnant heifers will be imported from South America. First of all, preliminary requests will be collected and allocations will be made to real or legal persons as a result of their evaluation. In this case, no period has been determined as in the import of male cattle for fattening and the distribution will be made to the provinces determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as ‘Fattening Basin’ within the framework of production planning. The lower and upper limit for the demand has not been determined for now, and allocation will be provided according to the number of pre-applications. Those who have applied for the ‘Support to Rural Areas, Abundance (Bereket) to Livestock” project implemented by our Ministry cannot apply for this. This will be controlled by the Ministry.”
