Marmarabirlik (Union of the Marmara Olives Agricultural Sales Cooperatives) Chairman Hidamet Asa announced at the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting for the 2023/2024 business year that they targeted a turnover of 7.5 billion in 2025 and that they foresee exports to boost to 35 million dollars. In addition, drawing attention to the increase in production costs, the importance of attracting young people to agricultural production was emphasised.

The Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of Marmarabirlik for 2023/2024 business year was held. Chairman of the Board of Directors Hidamet Asa said, “We aim to reach a turnover of 7 billion 500 million in 2025, to boost our exports from 32 million dollars to 35 million dollars in 2025 and to increase the number of countries we export to from 65 to 70.”

Hidamet Asa, who also evaluated last year’s data and next year’s targets, said the following: “In the 2024/25 business year product purchase campaign, Marmarabirlik purchased 57 thousand tonnes of products. As Marmarabirlik, we want to breathe next year by reaching a turnover of 7 billion 500 million in 2025. We aim to ramp up our exports from 32 million dollars last year to 35 million dollars and to increase the number of countries we export to 70 by adding olive country Spain, Cuba, Moldova and Madagascar.”
