LOCAL SACRIFICIALS ARE READY FOR THE FEAST OF SACRIFICE…

No import for this Feast of Sacrifice (Qurban Bayram)!

Cengiz Ceylan, Deputy Director General of Animal Husbandry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, said that sacrificials for the Feast would be all domestic.

Ceylan said, “This year the sacrificials are not considered to be imported. 1 million 250 thousand cattle ready for sacrifice. It was 850-900 thousand cattle and 2 million 700 thousand ovine in recent years. But now around 3 million 700 thousand ovine is waiting ready for slaughter.”

Ceylan also declared that they handled the preparations for the Feast of Sacrifice period with producers and developed some solutions at a meeting held in this framework.

“The Feast is approaching and thus preparations are accelerating. The domestic producers are ready and sacrificials currently produced are quite sufficient. Domestic and locally produced sacrificials will be cut” he added.

Ceylan wished the farmers to spend a good Feast of Sacrifice and emphasized that they always wanted them to be happy and prosperous.
