Gizem Kurt, Lecturer at Yaşar University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, stated that the vegan nutrition market, which is expected to reach a market value of 152 billion dollars by 2030, has developed rapidly in the country in recent years and said that the market potential is quite high for brands that want to develop innovative products.
Emphasising that there is a gap in the market in terms of manufacturers offering different plant-based alternatives for people who avoid the consumption of animal products, Lecturer Gizem Kurt said, “According to the new research conducted by V-Label together with FMCG Gurus, a market research and consultancy company, there is a 395 percent increase in the number of vegan consumers in Türkiye between 2014-2020, which has a great market potential.”
Gizem Kurt, Lecturer at Yaşar University Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, whose area of expertise is consumer behaviour and marketing, underlined that the vegan nutrition market will have an even more strategic importance in the future.
“Veganism is a type of nutrition associated with animal rights advocacy or balanced-healthy nutrition motivations. In addition to the social and human dimension of the issue, if we look at the consumer behaviour and marketing aspects, this sector has reached a size that cannot be ignored.
