Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) Coordinator Chair Jak Eskinazi said, “Aydın’s exports increased to 1 billion 26 million dollars in 2021. Congratulations to all our Aydın’s stakeholders. We hope that this export will double in a short time, there is such a potential in Aydın, the province of both agriculture and industry. İzmir is the place where exports start in Turkey, but Aydın’s fig is the first product in export… In addition, this province is where The first Exporters’ Association established in our country; It was the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association.”
“At the same time, as you know; The first railway in Turkiye was built between İzmir and Aydın provinces, the reason for this was to deliver Aydın figs and cotton to the world faster and more efficiently. Today, when we look at it, many sectors from mining to automotive and dried fruit are at the forefront of the exports of our province of Aydın,” he added.
“As the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, we announced our 56 members, who contributed $7.8 billion to the $16 billion 325 million export in 2021, with a thank you announcement to the newspapers. Six of our leading companies in the air conditioning, mining and automotive sectors and investing in sustainability were from Aydın. We hope that the stars of Aydın’s exports will increase even more,” he concluded…
