EİB and GAİB will join forces in digitalization
Digitalization, which developed at a dizzying speed after the pandemic, laid the groundwork for new collaborations.
The Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB), realized the Turkey’s first exhibition in digital environment and the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Associations (GAİB), having raised foreign trade specialists in e-commerce field through organized trainings have decided to join forces in digital environment activities.
GAIB Coordinator Chairman A. Fikret Kileci visited Aegean Exporters’ Associations. During the visit, the digitalization works of the two institutions and possible cooperation in the next period were discussed.
Pointing out that humanity’s shift to e-commerce accelerated during the pandemic period, EIB’s Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi said, “We need to implement a system where our exporters, whose products are sold on e-commerce platforms, will deliver their products to the consumers in the USA within 24 hours. Turkish Logistics Centers will contribute to the formation of this infrastructure.”
Underlining that the form of trade has changed both in the world Kileci and Turkey, A. Fikret Kileci noted, “Digital marketing has showed a dizzying speed in the pan demic process. While the number of credit cards used in e-commerce was 4.5 million before the pandemic, it has reached 11 million today. There has been a 46 percent increase in turnover in e-commerce channels of the food sector. Profitability is in retail from now on. We are working to increase the number of companies that make micro production and export.”
