“TURKIYE’S FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLE EXPORTS REACHED 235.7 MILLION DOLLARS IN APRIL”

Ferhat Gürüz, Chairman of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (AYMSİB), stated that they have made important moves to strengthen the perception of “Quality Turkish Goods” in 2023, the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

Emphasizing that as the leader of the Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable sector, they carry out multi-faceted efforts to boost market diversity, Ferhat Gürüz said, “In addition to increasing our gains in our traditional markets, Russia, Germany and Spain, we also make new exports to distant countries such as Finland, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Japan and Canada. We organize fairs, trade delegations, procurement committees and technical review committees to build bridges and develop mutual trade by cooperating.”

“We realized that Türkiye’s fresh fruit and vegetable exports reached 2.95 billion dollars in 2022 and as the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, we achieved 46 percent of the sector’s exports with a value of 1.37 billion dollars,” he added…
