Turkish food exporters made a strong showing at the New York Summer Fancy Food Show, one of the world’s largest food fairs, with 92 companies participating. Türkiye aims to export 5 billion dollars worth of food products to the US, which imports 230 billion dollars worth of food products annually.

The SUMMER FANCY Food Show, which has been organised by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) for 27 years, has joined forces with the Turkish Tastes TURQUALITY Project, which the Aegean Exporters’ Associations has been running since 2018 to enhance the market share of Turkish food products in the US.
The US Turquality Project tasting event, planned to coincide with the SUMMER FANCY Food Show, was hosted by Muhittin Ahmet Yazal, Türkiye’s Consul General in New York, at the Turkish House in New York. The tasting event, where menus prepared by world-renowned American chefs Tom Macrina and Reimund Pitts, who are the promotional ambassadors of the Turkish Tastes Project, were served, welcomed hotel and restaurant chain buyers and industry professionals.
Türkiye’s Commercial Attachees in New York, Bilgehan Ramazan Caner, Osman Nuri Gökbulut and Filiz Köseyener, were present at the programme at the Turkish House and throughout the Summer Fancy Food Show, supporting Turkish companies. American chefs Tom Macrina and Reimund Pitts conducted tasting and promotional activities using Turkish food products in the tasting area throughout the fair, showcasing both global and Turkish flavours…
