Emphasizing that they also made a strong start to 2026, he said that exports, which were 559 million dollars in the January-June period of 2025, increased to 572 million dollars in the same period of 2026.
“This increase, achieved despite all the uncertainties in the global economy and logistical challenges, is the most concrete indicator of the resilience of our sector and the determination of our members. During this period, the most exported products in the fresh fruit and vegetable group were cherries, tomatoes, mandarins and peaches,” he noted.
“The quality and market diversification we achieved, especially in cherries, have made Turkish cherries a sought-after product on world tables. In the processed fruit and vegetable group, dried tomatoes, gherkin pickles, pepper pickles, vegetable preserves and apple juice have been the leading export products,” he added…
