The 21st Seferihisar (a district of İzmir province) Tangerine Festival has started. While the festival, which aims to bring tangerines grown in the district to wider masses, was the scene of colourful images.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer said, “This land has everything to rise our hope. As long as we use it correctly, take care of each other and our land, let’s continue to produce.”
The tangerine festival of the district, which was held for the 21st time this year by Seferihisar Municipality, has started.
Aiming that the tangerines grown in Seferihisar region reach wider masses in Turkey and abroad and find new markets, the Tangerine Festival started with a cortege march in front of the Martyrs’ Fountain and continued in the covered market place.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and his wife Neptün Soyer, Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin and his wife Fatma Yetişkin, Repuplican People’s Party (CHP) İzmir Deputy Kani Beko, CHP İzmir Deputy Tacettin Bayır, Seferihisar District Governor Naci Aktaş, Seferihisar District Police Chief Temel Salman, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Dr. Buğra Gökçe, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ertuğrul Tugay, CHP Seferihisar District Chairwoman Senem Gürer Solak, council members, headmen, producers and citizens attended the festival…
