Türkiye is the world’s dried fruit warehouse…

Pointing out that they are making efforts to ramp up the consumption of seedless raisins, dried apricots and dried figs, which are in the healthy products category of the World Health Organisation, both in export markets and in Türkiye, Işık explained, ‘We are working with all our strength to enhance the consumption of our healthy dried fruits for healthy generations. While our farmers produce high quality and food safe dried fruits, we market our dried fruits through fairs, URGE Projects and TURQUALITY Projects, trade delegations and procurement delegations. Every generation from 7 to 70 can consume our dried fruits with peace of mind.”

The wounds of grape and apricot producers and enterprises affected by cold weather and frost should be healed…
Hihglighting that significant losses occurred in apricot and grape regions after the cold weather and frost in March and April, Işık concluded, “We expect our State to extend its hand of compassion to our apricot and grape producers and enterprises and to increase its support after the frost event, which occurred in 36 provinces and caused the biggest losses of recent years.”
