Gunjan Jain: Indian demand for premium dried fruits is on the rise

Gunjan Jain, President of the Nuts and Dried Fruits Council of India (NDFCI), stated that the demand of Indian consumers for premium dried fruits is increasing day by day.

Pointing out that Turkish Dried Fruits make an excellent contribution to their market, Jain said, “Their natural sweetness, superior texture and rich nutritional value make them a great choice for daily consumption as a healthy snack or as an ingredient in various culinary creations. This partnership will help diversify the offerings in the Indian dried fruit sector and further increase consumer preference for high quality products.”

Osman Öz, Chairman of the Turkish Dried Fruit Exporters’ Associations Sector Board, took part as a panelist in the “Raisins, Dried Figs and Dried Apricots” panel held with the participation of representatives from different countries of the world at the MEWA Dried Fruits and Nuts Fair held at JIO World Conventıon Centre, Mumbai, between 12-14 February 2025.
