Metin Öztürk, Manisa Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, stated that the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) is one of the most important stakeholders, they are in constant communication and contribute to the development of exports and production in the Aegean Region.
“I would like to thank all sector representatives for their support and contribution to the Aegean Exporters‘ Associations. Many products are produced in Türkiye. These products are very valuable in the provinces that produce them. But I think that in a province with such an export potential and such an export power, we should do our work on exports with such advantages. The ratio of Manisa’s exports to imports is 150 percent.The architect of this is our exporters who created this work. I would like to express our gratitude both on behalf of Manisa and on behalf of our country,” Öztük said.
“In Manisa, agriculture was closed with an export figure of 965 million dollars in 2024. In fact, we are a province that exports much more than this. The products produced, processed and exported in Manisa can be written as figures on other provinces. Manisa can contribute to more exports to our country,” Öztürk added.
Manisa Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Metin Öztürk also underlined that the cat and dog food sector has shown a great development in Manisa in recent years and continued as follows; “68 percent of cat and dog food production in the country is made in Manisa region. Exports increased from 19 million dollars to 130 million dollars. On 27 February 2025, we will organise a big workshop for the cat-dog food sector. This sector will continue to strengthen its position as a Manisa-based production and export centre.”
