EXPORTS OF AGRI-MACHINERY SECTOR DECREASES BY 7.1 PERCENT…

Foreign trade data for the Machinery Sector in June 2020 was announced. Accordingly, exports of 2020 in the agricultural machinery sector decreased by 7.1 percent compared to 2019 and amounted to 479 million dollars. With this data, agri-machinery industry ranked 5th among 22 sub-sectors in general machinery sectoral exports.

In foreign trade balance, as of April data, the ratio of exports to imports was 275 percent, while imports of agricultural machinery increased by 30 percent compared to the previous year and reached 154 million dollars.

In this period, the total exports in the machinery sector amounted to 7.6 billion dollars, compared to the previous year and showed a fall of 13.6 percent. The general export value per kilogram is around 5.5 dollars. In agricultural machinery, the unit value per kg fell from 4.3 dollars to 4.2 dollars. The country ranking in our exports was USA, Italy, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Sudan, Iraq, Algeria, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia.
