Satsuma mandarin export target is 250 million dollars…
It is time to harvest and export satsuma tangerine, which earned Türkiye 207 million dollars in foreign currency in 2022.
It was decided by the Ministry of Trade Aegean Customs and Foreign Trade Regional Directorate to allow the harvest of Satsuma Tangerine variety on 18 October 2023 and export on 20 October 2023.
Sharing the information that Izmir’s satsuma mandarin yield for 2023 is 185 thousand tonnes, Hayrettin Uçak, Chair of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB), stated that the quantity and quality of the yield is very suitable for exports, and that they aim to reach 500 million dollars in 2023 from 463 million dollars in 2022 and 250 million from 207 million dollars in 2023.
Russia is the leader in satsuma tangerine exports…
“The Russian Federation took the lion’s share of the country’s 207 million dollar satsuma mandarin exports in 2022 with a demand of 150 million dollars. The Russian Federation was followed by Ukraine with 23.6 million dollars of satsuma mandarin exports. The third country to which we exported the most satsuma mandarin was Serbia with an amount of 5 million dollars. Türkiye exported satsuma mandarin to 55 countries in 2022,” he added…
