Bingöl Honey, geographically registered from the EU, to go on the shelves!

The official filling process of Bingöl Honey, produced in the unique nature of Bingöl and internationally protected by obtaining a geographical indication registration from the European Union, has started. The product will be sold in the stores of a market chain operating throughout Türkiye.

The official filling process of Bingöl Honey, Türkiye’s first Turkish honey registered with a geographical indication by the European Union and the first Turkish honey approved by the EU, has started.

Audit processes completed, quality assurance ensured…

Bingöl Honey, which was registered with the efforts of Bingöl Province Bee Breeders Association and Bingöl University, completed the audit processes in line with Migros’ sustainable production principles and ensured quality assurance. Migros secured the EU geographically labelled production of Bingöl Honey by contributing to the development of local honey producers and providing purchasing support. Production was approved after improvement suggestions and product safety audits at the honey filling facility.

While the analysis processes of each batch of honey were made sustainable, the labels were ensured to comply with the legislation, contributing to the provision of a reliable product to consumers. Bingöl Honey, which has started to be filled, will be produced in accordance with international standards while preserving its naturalness and will meet with consumers in Migros chain stores all around Türkiye…
