While Turkish farmers met the protein needs of the world’s tables with a wide range of products from meat to chicken, fish to eggs, dairy products to honey, they made a great contribution to the strong immune system of the human body during the pandemic period.
Underlining that Turkey’s exports of fishery and animal products exceed 2.5 billion dollars in annual exports, Bedri Girit, Chairperson of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, shared his May 14 Farmers’ Day message as follows; “The pandemic has shown to the whole world that farming is not old, it is a profession that does not get old and always serves humanity. The farmers and producers will offer them to the service of humanity as much as they are supported.”
“Every investment in farmers will reduce the risk of poverty and facilitate access to healthy and sustainable food and producers are the head of the world cuisine. Congratulations on May 14 Farmers’ Day,” Bedri Girit added…
