Fersan, located in Kemalpaşa district of Izmir province, a Develey group company, is now offering the world’s leading brand Develey products to the Turkish market. Michael Durach, CEO of Develey Group, came to Fersan to evaluate this operation undertaken by Fersan, as well as the APMEA (countries) and Africa strategic market expansion targets, the contribution to the Turkish economy and employment, and operational processes.
Michael Durach, CEO of Develey Group, and Gürhan Güven, CEO of Fersan, announced the details of their new cooperation, the contribution to the Turkish economy and employment, operational processes, APMEA and Africa strategic market expansion targets at a press conference held at Fersan’s production facility in Izmir.

Stating that they are proud to be affiliated with Develey, Europe’s largest sauce producer, Fersan CEO Gürhan Güven said: “Fersan, a Develey Group company, is the market leader in Türkiye’s vinegar sector with 25 percent with an annual production of approximately 30 thousand tonnes of vinegar. We continue this leadership in 2024. One out of every four vinegars sold in Türkiye is Fersan. However, adulteration in vinegar is also an issue we continue to fight. I have also assumed the presidency of the Association of Vinegar Producers (SirkeDer). We have always been and will continue to announce to consumers that they should always turn to known and safe brands.”
“We will grow not only in Türkiye but also in Africa and APMEA region”
“Producing various sauces in 19 factories in 11 countries, Develey is also the world’s largest mustard producer. As Fersan, we will produce Develey mustards in the country. We will grow not only in Türkiye but also in Africa and APMEA region. On the other hand, our goal is to increase our employment day by day. We are working at 100 per cent capacity in our factory,” he added.

Michael Durach, CEO of Develey Group, pointed out that they have a tremendous brand and explained, “Our investments in Türkiye are continuing and will continue. We wanted to bring consumers together with the Develey brand in the domestic market. Türkiye is a great location for the Middle East and Africa. We will expand our exports to Türkiye from here. Producing mustard is a very heartfelt event for me. We are very happy to introduce our mustard to this country with Fersan quality and assurance and I am confident that mustard consumption will surge.”
