WE MUST SAVE BEES FOR CONTINUITY OF THE ECO-SYSTEM…

Press release…

Stating that the habitats of bees are gradually decreasing due to wrong agricultural practices, settled and populated natural areas and unconscious industrial production, Honey Gourmet and Etabal Chairman Ahmet Bağran Aksoy said: “We observe that mass bee deaths increase because of the chemical items, generally known as pesticides, our farmers used in agriculture. Besides the fruits and vegetables we consume, indirectly, many products come to our tables, thanks to the pollination of honey bees to collect nectar. So we must protect the bees for the continuity of the ecological system.”

Underlining that all humanity should act jointly on nature for a sustainable life, Honey Gourmet and Etabal Chairman Ahmet Bağran Aksoy drew attention to the importance of bees in ecological balance due to the World Environment Day on June 5. Expressing that the environmental cycle has deteriorated and climate disasters have been observed in the world due to the wrong industrial and settlement policies, as well as pesticides used in agriculture, Honey Gourmet Ahmet Bağran Aksoy stated that because of environmental conditions, collective deaths of honey bees have increased in recent years.

Aksoy noted, “It is useful to remind you again on account of the World Environment Day. First of all, we should save the bees for the continuity of the ecological system.”

Emphasizing that the most important feature that distinguishes our world from the planets we have identified so far is that it has a life cycle, Aksoy added, “The biggest share in this life cycle belongs to bees. In addition to the fruits and vegetables we consume, indirectly, many products come to our tables, thanks to the pollination of honey bees to collect nectar. Thus, the cycle of nature continues infinitely.”
